Samuel Dickens serves as the Chief Operations Officer of Opportunities Industrialization Center, Inc. He is responsible for all the operational aspects of OIC, including the Family Medical Center, Health Services, Education & Training and Value Added Business Services divisions. He is a 2011 graduate of the prestigious Kate B. Reynolds Ladder to Leadership Program.

 Sam currently serves on Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Nash Community College, Vice Chair of the North Carolina Association of Community College Trustees and on the Board of Directors of the Upper Coastal Plain Learning Council.

 Sam served as Vice President of Unified Community Health Services (a mental health provider) where he was responsible for business operations including finance, human resources and business growth and Project Manager for the LAC Group (a facilities maintenance company) where he managed turnkey construction projects. Mr. Dickens also founded Premier Circuit Assembly, Inc. in Spring Hope, NC that employed more than 500 people. As President and CEO, he was responsible for all aspects of business operations. He is a past member of the Boards of Directors of the Rocky Mount YMCA, the Boys and Girls Club of Nash & Edgecombe Counties, BB&T Bank and the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Dickens is a graduate of Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC. He is currently an Associate Minister at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Whitakers NC.
