JOB TITLE: Grant Writer/Grant Management

DEPARTMENT: Administration

FLSA:  Exempt

SALARY RANGE: Negociable

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Grant Writer/Grant Management will write, coordinate and manage and oversee all grants to ensure compliance from inception to completion. This position will assist in seeking and procuring funding opportunities for all departments in the organization. The Grant Writer/Grant Management will be responsible for grant writing and required to pursue relationships with community partners, funding sources, and any entities that may assist the organization in accomplishing its goals.


Due to the volume of applications received, we are unable to provide information regarding the status of your application over the phone. All applications will be reviewed and those deemed most qualified will be contacted for interview.  Please do not call the Human Resources Office to check the status of an application. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for writing grants and Managing which includes preparing grant applications and funding proposals for assigned programs/projects.

  • Responsible for pursuing grant funding opportunities for all departments and serve as the liaison and/or point of contact for all projects (includes planning, documenting goals, tracking and ensuring accomplishments of goals, measuring outcomes, and any other tasks needed for grant implementation).

  • Conduct the research needed to complete assigned grant applications/proposals by monitoring websites and other sources for funding announcements and maintaining a strong working knowledge of available funding opportunities.

  • Responsible for coordinating meetings with the necessary departments to discuss the intent to apply for a grant and review the scope, expectations, staffing needs, etc. for the grant.

  • Ensures that all grant applications/proposals for the organization are complete, signed by authorized officials, and submitted to the grant agency/organizations on a timely basis prior to deadline dates.

  • Respond to follow-up questions for assigned grant applications.

  • Responsible for notifying the Executive Team and the necessary departments after receiving the grant Notice of Award.

  • Responsible for coordinating and following up on the progress of the grant which includes tracking the grant’s monthly spending amount and performance measures to assure the goals are met.

  • Assist with facilitating site visits with granting agencies/organization.

  • Attend Meeting as assigned

  • Perform administrative duties and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent years of experience. 

One to two years of fundraising, program planning/management and grant writing experience preferred.


SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must be fully computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and the Internet, must be organized and able to prioritize duties and objectives, some experience with budgeting, creativity with a focus on innovation.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. (Such as in a typical office.)
