Certified Material Handler
JOB TITLE: Certified Material Handler
DEPARTMENT: Valued Added Business Services
FLSA: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
DURATION: Open Until Filled
SALARY RANGE: $10.00 to $12.00/hour
The Certified Material Handler is responsible for daily work production at on and off-site locations.
Due to the volume of applications received, we are unable to provide information regarding the status of your application over the phone. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Load and unload trucks daily
Sort and rearrange freight for pickup
Band, pack, and process product daily
Pull labels and band containers and/or totes to secure skids for shipping.
Inspect the inside of containers to ensure no parts are left in the container and no rips in the container mold.
Sand inside and edges of trays to ensure all burrs are removed.
Lifts trays by hand and clean work area daily.
Wash trays using high pressure equipment.
Work at designated off-site client locations
Able to work different shifts as scheduled
Handle a variety of equipment
Complete Bills of Lading
Complete various maintenance tasks
Complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer High School Diploma or equivalency (GED)
Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be certified as a Forklift Operator. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to work different shifts, weekends and overtime as required based on business need.
